In this shoot, we chose to highlight the artistic details and distinct character of each cocktail by embracing a dramatic lighting approach. A strong, directional light from the left (0°) illuminated only one side of the composition, revealing the form, texture, and subtle nuances of the drinks. Complemented by a second light source placed at a 70° angle from above, we achieved a sense of depth and volume without compromising the mood.
This technique, a blend of split lighting and low key lighting, allowed us to craft a cinematic visual atmosphere. By isolating the light to specific areas, the viewer’s attention is naturally drawn to the focal point, while the shadowed background eliminates distraction and enhances elegance.
The deliberate use of shadow and contrast reflects a refined, premium aesthetic, perfectly aligning with the brand’s sophisticated identity. Through this stylised approach, we aimed to go beyond standard beverage photography and offer a distinctive visual that stands out in any menu or promotional material.
